Matthews Asia Funds offers the following no-load mutual funds:
ASIA GROWTH AND INCOME STRATEGIES |
| Objective: Long-term capital appreciation. The Fund also seeks to provide some current income. |
Strategy: Invests at least 80% of its assets in dividend-paying
equity securities and convertible securities,
of any duration or quality, of companies
located in Asia, which includes China, Hong
Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia,
Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South
Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and
Vietnam.

Strategy: Under normal
market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of its total net assets
in income-paying publicly traded common stocks, preferred stocks, and
other equity-related instruments of companies located in the Asia region.
The Asia region includes China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan,
Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka,
Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Strategy: Under normal market conditions, the Matthews China Dividend Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its total net assets, which include borrowings for investment purposes, in income-paying equity securities of companies located in China and Taiwan. China includes its administrative and other districts, such as Hong Kong.

region. The Fund may also invest in the

Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines,
Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan,
Thailand and Vietnam.

Vietnam.
